Celebration of Life  A Celebration of Life will be held in the Sanctuary on Friday, October 11, at 11:00 am, for Joan Fenton’s daughter, Leslie Ann Smith. A gathering will follow at the Nobley’s home, 5317 E. Nisbet Road, Scottsdale, 85254. 

IMPORTANT!-Call to Annual Meeting  On Sunday, October 13, immediately following the 9:30 am Worship Service, the Annual Meeting of the congregation will take place in the Sanctuary.

“Lifted to Hope” Podcasts  If you enjoyed hearing from David Tso, a recent guest speaker at OPC, you can hear more from him on Louise Sedgwick’s podcast, “Lifted to Hope”. David will share on his remaining podcast episode, on October 15. He will speak about his experience of institutional racism and how God’s grace brought healing and freedom from that shame. John “Doc” Hayes  Our dear friend and Orangewood member for many years, John “Doc” Hayes will celebrate his 90th birthday on October 19th. Doc is beloved in the Orangewood community but also the greater community of Phoenix where he had a pediatric practice for many years. You can mail John a birthday card at the Beatitudes or leave it in the OPC office by 10/16. His mailing address is:  John Hayes, 1712 W Glendale Ave Room 4006, Phoenix, AZ  85021.

Indigenous People’s Day  The Orangewood office will be closed both Monday and Tuesday, October 14 and 15, in recognition of the Federal holiday.

Congregational Life Meeting  The Congregational Life Committee will meet on Tuesday, October 15 in Room 11.

Knot Just Knitters  On Wednesday, October 16, Knot Just Knitters with gather in the east seminar room of Page Hall, at 5:30 pm.

AGO Hymn Sing  On Sunday, October 20, at 4:00 pm, in the Sanctuary everyone is welcome to come to a hymn sing with the American Guild of Organists!

Fall Gathering  On Sunday, October 27, from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm, Orangewood is having a fall gathering with a chili cook-off, hot dogs, potluck dishes, a cake/dessert walk, photo booth, face-painting, corn-hole contest, and games for children and adults alike!
